Clay activities, customized for YOUR students, in the comfort of YOUR classroom!
You and I both know that your students need variety in their learning but this can be difficult to manage. Resources and time are limited, the materials needed are often expensive and messy, and they usually require some prior knowledge and experiences on the part of the teacher. This is where I come in. I want to help YOU give your students a unique learning opportunity that is both fun and curriculum oriented.
Using both the Ontario curriculum and your planned teaching schedule, I will customize my lesson to fit your needs. Projects can be anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on your specifications and your students’ developmental or learning stages.I will come to YOUR SCHOOL with all tools and materials and lead your students through a sculpture project that culminates in a finished piece. All pieces will then be fired and returned to the school within 7-10 days for students to take home. Finishing on the pieces can be unglazed and ready to paint with acrylics if desired (either in class as a second project for you to lead or at home on their own time) OR the pieces can be ‘glaze fired’ in a clear, shiny glass coating.
Price Breakdown
Final cost combines the Initial Flat Fee, the Per-Student Fee, and the Travel Fee.
Initial Flat Fee: $100
Clay and materials preparation time, customized clay lesson for up to 3hrs, extra setup/cleanup time, kiln use, pre-and-post firing procedures, finished pieces pack and delivered. Also covers any taxes required.
PER-STUDENT FEE: $10 per student
Enough clay AND one-time use materials for each student. The initial quote will be based on full attendance but the final charge is only applied to the number of students who are present for the workshop.
TRAVEL FEE: $0.60 per km
Shortest round trip distance from K.E.R. Ceramics studio (near Cayuga) to your location, according to GPS. This cost can be calculated before booking for a more accurate quote.
There are NO hidden fees! An invoice will be sent to you prior to your scheduled lesson date, in order to confirm the cost. Taxes are already included.
